Winnipeg International Airport:
- Rental Car, limousine service or chartered bus to Minaki (150 miles east of Winnipeg).
Kenora Airport:
- 6000 feet of hard surfaced commercial airport. For smaller groups, we can pick you up at the airport. For larger groups we suggest limousine service or chartered bus to Minaki (30 miles north of Kenora).
Minaki Airstrip:
- 2750 feet of paved runway, 50 feet wide with overrun of 250 feet on each end.
By Car
- Via Fort Frances, Ontario (International Falls, Mn)
- Clear Canadian Customs at Fort Frances, Ontario
- Drive west on Highway 11 to Highway 71. Travel north on 71 to the Trans-Canada highway 17, then west on 17 to 17A.
- Turn north on Highway 596 (Minaki turnoff), 25 miles of paved Highway to Minaki.
- Via Interstate 29 to Manitoba Border
- Clear Canadian Customs at Manitoba border.
- Drive north on Highway 75. Take Winnipeg By-Pass east to Highway 1. Follow 1 east to Highway 17A.
- Turn north on Highway 596 (Minaki turnoff), 25 miles of paved highway to Minaki.

On arrival in Minaki you will see an old train station on your left and our mainland base, Minaki Marina, will be just past this on your right. Go to Minaki Marina and advise staff there that you are Birch Island Resort Guests. They will call us and we will be in within ten minutes to meet you.
Ample safe parking is available for you vehicles at our mainland base, Minaki Marina.
We will transport you by covered boat from Minaki Marina our mainland base, just a few minutes away.
