Birch Island Resort was the private summer home of a director of the Timothy Eaton Company during the early 1920s, the sumptuous era of many servants and elegant living for the wealthy. The complex has undergone extensive renovations, while retaining the décor and elegance of the 1920s and 1930s. Groups of 2 to 30 are welcome.

At Birch Island our friendly and dedicated staff will provide you with personalized service. From serving you early morning coffee on the deck to delicious homemade meals they will insure you receive 4 star quality service

Birch Island Resort offers:

  • 14 private bedrooms, each with a private bathroom
    • 9 double and 1 triple rooms are located in the Main Lodge
    • 2 double and 2 triple are located in the Boat House
  • Daily maid service
  • Electrically heated with individual thermostats


The Main Lodge features:

  • A cozy sitting room
  • Main Dining room – featuring our Executive Chef
  • Large outside deck

Dining:

Fabulous daily meals are prepared by our Executive Chef who will insure no one goes hungry so bring an appetite. AAA quality meat prepared to your liking and served by our courteous and friendly staff. There are tenderloin, chicken, ribs, various cuts of steak grilled to your choice and an abundance of homemade bread and desserts. Hog roasts have become a favourite with our guests and will be provided depending on the number of guests. An endless supply of cookies is everyone’s favourite!

The licensed dining room offers a full bar menu from mixed drinks to fine wines.

The Boat House features:

  • A large party and meeting room complete with wet bar and fireplace. Play cards or display your talents on the piano. This room is a great meeting place after a good day of fishing. It is an excellent setting as a conference room for meetings and seminars
  • Indoor boat slips for up to 6 boats, depending on size

Housekeeping Plan (Fishing or Hunting):

A 3 bedroom clean and comfortable cabin is available on a weekly basis at our associate location Minaki Marina. It is a superb location for fishermen and hunters wanting to do their own thing. The cabin can sleep six guests and additional sleeping accommodations can be arranged at the Marina Motel. It is fully equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, bedding, towels, cable TV and is heated. The cabin overlooks Gunn Lake and your boat can be docked right out front or boat rentals are available through the Marina.
